Feelings

"Give glory to the Lord, the God of Israel, and honor Him."  Joshua 7:19

Today I am basking in the feeling of contentment!  My background music for the day is the giggles and playful words of my two amazing little boys.  And I delight in knowing that soon the giggles and words of a little girl will join the chorus.  I am feeling blessed!  I am feeling an excitement, and a joy because God has set us on this journey of parenthood.

However, the Holy Spirit reminds me that it is NOT about feelings.  Feelings are fleeting.  Moods quickly change.  Tempers flare.  I am human.  I am imperfect.

What it IS about, is OBEDIENCE!  Obedience while walking the path that God has laid out for me, relying on His strength to get me through my human weaknesses, and ultimately, bringing glory to HIS GREAT NAME!

God is so good, and He deserves ALL of our praise!  In the good times and in the bad times.  Thank you God for being a loving father!

May my actions today be glorifying to Him!
